Awarded the Dean of the College of Engineering Teaching Award, The Petroleum Institute, 2017.


[1] Design, Simulation and Construction of a 3 DOF Pick and Place Robotic Arm, 2016 – 2017.

Designed and constructed by the students: Madiha Farman, Muneera Al-Shaibah, Zoha Aoraiath, Asma Al-Ameri, and Reem Al-Ameri.

This project won the first place in the fifth UAE Undergraduate Research Competition for the Mechanical Engineering Category, 2017.

In addition the project findings were published in the International Journal of Computer Applications: Farman, M. Al-Shaibah, Z. Aoraiath, and F. Jarrar, Design of a three degrees of freedom robotic arm, Journal of Computer Applications, vol. 179(37), pp. 12-17, 2018.

[2] Design of a Solar Powered Smart Vehicle, 2018 – 2019.

Designed and constructed by the students: Muhammad Taha Ansari, Hamza Mansob, Ahmed Hassan, Faisal Alameeri, and Abdullah Almarri.

The project passed to the final stage of the Ibtikari 5.0 program and was awarded 10,000 AED.

[3] Design of a Robotic Arm for Space Applications, 2019 – 2020.

Designed and constructed by the students: Fatma Khalifa Alamri, Muna Jamal Bahamaish, Aisha Ismail Alhosani, Noura Fahed Alhajeri, and Maitha Naseer Alafeefi.
